Make our parks & trails stronger – become a GMPT member!
Do you enjoy your local parks and trails? Maybe you head down to a city fishing pier with your kids or grandkids? Perhaps you launch a boat or kayak from a county park? Do you ride you bike on local trails? Are you itching to get out and snowshoe at a regional park this week? If you answered yes to any of these questions, we urge you to join the Greater Minnesota Parks & Trails (GMPT) organization to strengthen local parks and trails across the state! The GMPT is a non-profit advocacy and education organization that aims to increase funding for city and county parks and trails in Greater Minnesota and to ensure that our parks and trails have the tools they need to continue to develop and thrive. A key component of the GMPT’s success is having members who help us demonstrate support from all corners of the state.
Membership is inexpensive — just $30 per year for individuals and $125 for non-profits. Members receive our monthly newsletter, twice-annual in-person meetings with all members and “action alerts” so that you know what is happening at the Legislature. And, most importantly, you or your organization will play a valuable role in helping advance Greater Minnesota parks and trails at the State Capitol.
You can find the membership form and more information about the GMPT on the “Member Benefits & Registration Forms” page on our website. If you have any questions about the GMPT or how to become a member, please email us at greatermnparkstrails@gmail.com.
P.S. If you know any businesses who would be interested in joining, we also have a separate membership category with a host of benefits for businesses and corporations. You can find the business membership form here.
