Congratulations to the latest DNR grant recipients!

Earlier this month, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources announced the recipients of its local parks and trails grant programs. Helping to fund these programs has been a top legislative priority for our organization over the last several years and we were pleased to see several GMPT members receive grants for important projects in their communities. Congratulations to the following members:

  • Detroit Lakes, South Shore Park
  • Elk River, Orono Park
  • Lake City, Ohuta Beech
  • Meeker County, Lake Koronis Regional Park
  • Proctor, Playground for Everyone
  • Rochester, Silver Lake Park
  • Monticello, Fenning Avenue Trail Connection
  • Sherburne County, History Center Trail Improvements

We are excited for all the recipients and hope to see more great projects in the future. If you have received a local DNR grant over the last few years and have completed your project, please email us at greatermnparkstrails@gmail.com. We would love to feature you in an upcoming newsletter.
