From the Chair: New workshop in partnership with MRPA

Hello GMPT Members!
We can never say enough good things about the value of partnerships. As an organization, we consistently rely on partnerships with the Greater Minnesota Regional Parks and Trails Commission (GMRPTC), our members, legislators, and the DNR. As such, I’d like to take a moment to highlight a new initiative of the GMPT Board.
An opportunity came to us through one of our members to assist with promoting a workshop that would be of interest to many of you. The initiative aligns with GMPT’s goal of providing education to our members and allows coordination with the Minnesota Recreation and Park Association (MRPA) on promotion and registration. The partnership and networking benefits of this first endeavor are sure to inspire future ideas and educational options for you and your staff!
For now, we encourage you to check out the Building and Maintaining Sustainable Natural Surface Trails Workshop being offered in Wright County this summer! See below for details.

- This training workshop will focus on building and maintaining natural surface trails—both multipurpose and single-track—and include time in the field learning and implementing best practices on trail construction/maintenance.
