Join us for a GMPT forum at 11 a.m. on Aug. 17 to discuss two different topics:
- Overcrowding: What’s the max?
- Harvesting/collecting: What’s your policy?
The first topic will revolve around the surge in park and trail use and potential overcrowding issues. How many visitors is too many and how do you make that determination? Let’s do some brainstorming around how to prevent — or maybe how to accommodate — overcrowding.
The second topic of the forum will look for input from our members on their policies for harvesting and collecting items withing your parks or trails. Do you allow harvesting of mushrooms and berries or no vegetation at all? How about antler sheds and fossil rocks? We’re looking for some statewide input on what you allow and your reasoning behind it.
These topics are sure to spark some great conversation and collaboration so don’t forget to mark the forum on your calendar!
