Greater Minnesota Parks & Trails Legislative Action Day is coming up on Feb. 13 in St. Paul. This annual “day at the Capitol” is a great chance to meet with legislators to make sure they know how important Greater Minnesota parks and trails are to your community, region and the entire state. It is also provides opportunities to network with other GMPT members and learn more about legislative issues that impact our organization.
Legislative Action Day will kick off at 10 a.m. (registration begins at 9:30 a.m.) at the office of Flaherty & Hood, P.A., located at 525 Park St., Suite 470 in St. Paul. Attendees will hear a legislative update and lobbying tips, followed by other speakers and presentations, including a panel discussion featuring legislators. After lunch, attendees will venture to the State Capitol complex to meet with their legislators to lobby on the GMPT’s legislative priorities. The full agenda can be seen here.
