Congratulations to the following members who received grants to help fund their projects! DNR Outdoor Recreation…
REMINDER: Apply today for No Child Left Inside 2024 grant funding!
As a reminder, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is accepting grant applications for the next round of No Child Left Inside (NCLI) funding. The NCLI grant program was created in response to emerging research that indicates students are increasingly becoming disconnected from nature. The program aims to ensure the future stewardship of Minnesota’s natural resources by supporting efforts to expand programming that connects youth to the outdoors.
The 2024 grants will consist of two types of grant awards:
- Mini Grants, with awards between $500-$5,000, will include a simple application for projects with smaller scope. Demand is expected to be high. Eligible projects will be entered into a lottery. Previous mini grant awardees are ineligible for additional mini grant funds, but they are encouraged to apply for a larger grant this phase.
- Larger Grants, with awards between $5,001-$25,000, will include a more extensive application process for greater project scope. Eligible projects will be competitively reviewed. Previous larger grant awardees are ineligible for any grant funds this phase.
Applications must be received by 2pm, Tuesday, December 12, 2023. For more information on the grants and the application process, please visit the NCLI page on the DNR website. Questions about these grants or any of the application materials can be directed to outreachgrants.dnr@state.mn.us.
