Submit projects to Sen. Klobuchar’s office for potential federal funding

The office of U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar has requested that we make our members aware of an opportunity to submit projects to her office for consideration for federal funding. For the first time in a number of years, Congress is considering requests for “congressionally directed spending,” which is a fancy way of saying “we’re going to earmark projects again.”

Sen. Klobuchar’s office is seeking submissions for projects in Minnesota to be considered for this potential federal funding. Requirements that need to be met for consideration:

  • The request is for a program, project, or organization in Minnesota.
  • The entity submitting this request is a public or non-profit entity. For-profit entities are not eligible.
  • The request must have demonstrated community support.

Here is the public link to the congressionally directed spending form: https://oampublic.senate.gov/constituent/login/e14a88fc-766b-4798-a8e1-1e0c5d6e0e8b/. You need to create a log-in to access and complete the form.

The deadline to apply is Friday, May 21. Questions can be directed to Matt VanDriel, a legislative aide in Sen. Klobuchar’s Washington D.C. office, at Matt_VanDriel@klobuchar.senate.gov.
