Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources RFP is open!

Love getting people outside? The Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR) is accepting proposals for its 2027 RFP, with approximately $121 million available from the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund (ENRTF), for projects that help connect Minnesotans to our lands and waters. Outdoor recreation is front and center this year for the LCCMR. Think of designing accessible, resilient recreation facilities or expanding trail and park networks to better connect green spaces and improve access, but the funding opportunity is much broader than just this!

Proposals are due Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 4:30pm. The RFP covers areas of Resiliency, Water Education and Outdoor Recreation, Fish and Wildlife, Energy, Land, and Small Projects. If you are brainstorming where to start, consider projects that help young people access and experience Minnesota’s natural resources through culturally relevant and innovative approaches. New ideas are encouraged and there are plenty of examples of previously funded projects to give you inspiration. Be sure to review the full list of eligible priorities and application details to see how your ideas fit!
