Wow, how time flies — we are approaching the final month of 2024! After an unseasonably warm fall, it is hard to believe that December is upon us. The last eleven months have been packed with great successes for GMPT, and we are so grateful to each of you, the members who make the organization an effective advocacy, education, and professional networking mechanism!
We hope to have your continued support as we head into the new year. The GMPT Membership Renewal forms should be rolling into your inboxes very soon, and we ask that you please renew your membership to help continue the great work of GMPT in 2025!
We also want to bring to your attention the contribution of voluntary legislative assessment. To keep our membership dues affordable for everyone, we ask those members who can afford it to contribute a little extra to help pay for our ongoing advocacy efforts that are so important to the funding and policies that make Greater MN Parks and Trails sought-after destinations. We’ve kept our overall membership rates down over the years but can’t continue our work without the added support of voluntary contributions.
We enjoyed your participation at our Legislative Action Day in St. Paul, the summer meeting at Elk River’s Woodland Trails Regional Park, the fall meeting at Duluth’s Hartley Nature Center, and our virtual forums. Attendance at our meetings was excellent, and the networking, learning, and advocacy opportunities proved so valuable!
The end of the calendar year is not only a time to reflect, but also a time of looking ahead to what is in store for 2025. Front and center on our minds are gratitude for your past support and our dependence on sustaining it!
