One thing that the COVID-19 pandemic has made clear is that parks and trails are essential to the well-being of our communities. Demand for outdoor recreation has soared throughout the pandemic and the GMPT has been working hard to help its members address the challenges and opportunities through regular email updates and member forums on Zoom. We are also working to expand our membership base and have been inviting more cities and counties to join.

We have found that personal connections with the staff and elected officials is the best way to recruit new members or to encourage lapsed members to rejoin. That is where we can use your help! If you have contacts at any of our targeted local governments, we encourage you to reach out to them and encourage them to join and/or renew their membership. Our list of targets includes:
